How to Apply for a Photo ID Card

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) is issuing a call for applications for national identity cards (ID). This is part of a larger effort to modernize the document, which has been around since 1923.

To apply for an ID card, you must submit an application form online. You will need your passport photo and proof of address. If you don’t already have one, you can download a free copy of your passport.

The deadline for submitting your application is May 31st. After that date, you won’t be able to make changes to your information.

The name on my identity document isn’t my current name. How do I change it?

If you want to update your passport or driver’s license, you must submit a request to your local government office. You can find contact information here.

You’ll need to provide proof of your legal name change, like a marriage certificate, divorce decree, birth certificate, court order, etc. If you don’t have those documents, you can use a copy of your old ID and fill out a form online.

Once you’ve submitted your request, your updated documentation will be mailed to you within 10 days.

Update your DL or ID card information

If you are updating your driver’s license or identification card information online, make sure you use the correct date format. If you don’t, you could end up with a fake ID.

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, most states require drivers to update their licenses every five years. Some states allow people to renew their licenses online, while others still require paper applications.

In some cases, however, state laws dictate how long it takes to change your information. For example, California requires that residents update their DMV records within 30 days of turning 18. In addition, Oregon requires that anyone born after Jan. 1, 1983, must provide updated information no later than July 31st.

While many states offer online renewal options, there are some exceptions. In fact, according to the NCSL, one state does not even allow online renewals. This includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.

As far as the exact date format goes, here is what you want to look out for:

the day of the month, such as 01 for January.

the month name followed by the day number, like 02 for February 2nd.
